Corban Te Aika

"E aku nui, e aku rahi, nāia te whakamiha ki a koutou katoa. Born in Wanganui but spent most of my time growing up in Christchurch. On my Poua's side I am from Tuahiwi just north of Christchurch, and on my Taua's side, I am from Whakatāne. My research interests include, Te Reo Māori, Kāi Tahu, language revitalisation, and Māori Performing Arts. Away from uni my interests change little from Te Reo and Kapa Haka. I have been involved in kapa haka as a performer since I was about 13, and more recently as a teacher. I teach into both the Te Reo and Māori and Indigenous Studies programmes and currently working towards a Master of Arts. I have worked for Nitro and Associates, as well as the Ministry of Education"
